Today I help people on their own path of awareness with bodywork, create soulful art and share practices for sanctuary.
I grew up Emilie Lindsten (b.1985) in a creative multicultural household.
Between 2003 and 2013 I trained and worked in fashion design first in Italy later in the Uk covering different creative roles, whilst I loved the creativity and team work of working in a studio, I also felt in deep conflict with the fashion industry, its lack of integrity and sustainability as my heart longed for something different.
Around 2013 I started working freelance, I opened my own studio in north London and started painting, focusing my creativity more on personal work rather than commissions. I also had started a yoga and meditation practice a few years earlier. Diving into my inner world with my art and practices, new creative strands were freed along side a great longing that brought me to travel the world. In the years following I took part in two artist residencies, exhibited in group exhibitions worldwide and published several books exploring photography, drawing, painting and text.
In 2015 I started facilitating creative workshops aimed to introduce the participants to freedom of expression through drawing, I then decided to do a yoga nidra practitioner training that opened up new possibilities for sharing in groups. In the same period I also went deeper in exploring somatic wisdom and healing with 5 rhythms, ecstatic dance, BMC body-mind centering; at this stage I was living in Berlin. Later that year I moved back to Sweden to start the Pink House project which was a landing place where I could ground and share all my offerings in one place alongside other guest facilitators and creatives. In 2021 I discovered a love for bodywork in the practice of psychic massage, where my love for poetic language, meditation and my hands could work together supporting people on their path of healing and truth.
I currently share my work under the name Nalini Ruha and live between Sweden and Italy.
